I was born in Michigan, USA. I have been a full-time tour guide ever since moving to the region in 2015 It is my great passion to show this beautiful place to people from all over the world.

Kaixo, I am passionate about traveling and I went around the world alone, a journey that took me years. Now I love being the one who shows my land to those who visit us. Especially our customs and gastronomy. If you want to visit the Basque Country like a local, I'll accompany you!

I hold a degree in tourism from the University of Deusto and was born and raised in Bilbao, being a first-hand witness of the amazing transformation of this city, of which I am particularly proud of. For more than 15 years I have professionally dedicated myself to guiding.

I grew up in a village of deep-rooted popular customs and that’s how I fell in love with Basque history and culture.

I have been working as a bilingual tourist guide since 2004. I had degrees in Art and MA in Leisure Management in European Universitites. Passionate about my job, I can create a bespoke tour for memorable experiences for you.

I´ve been so lucky to be born in Bilbao, voted as Best World City in 2010, and I´ve been showing my beautiful homeland to visitors for over 12 years, in Spanish, English and French. I never get tired of guiding through those hidden jewels that visitors rarely see by themselves.

Since the first time I visited the Basque Country in 2009, I was so fascinated with this land, so I had to leave behind everything I had in Tokyo and I started from scratch in San Sebastian.

My name is Gontxu, I was born in San Sebastian and since a few years ago, I have been guiding in this region in a way that combines with fun 3 elements so abundant in Basque Country: Culture, Nature and Gastronomy.
