Kaixo! Hello!
My name is Esther. I was born and raised in Bilbao but for family reasons I moved to San Sebastian 23 years ago. I fell in love with this town from the very first moment I arrived here. I have been working as a tourist guide for almost 20 years, a job I often combine with the translation of official documents from Spanish into Englih and viceversa. I love touring San Sebastian with those who want to get acquainted with the city and I also like to take them discover some of the seaside towns and the countryside where many traditions of the Basque Country are best kept. I visit frequently with my clients the French Basque Country (Biarritz, Saint Jean de Luz), La Rioja wine region, as well as Bilbao, Gernika and coastal towns in Biscay. If you would like to have someone to help you discover the Basque Country I will certainly be happy to be your guide!

Semana Santa a la donostiarra
La Semana Santa en San Sebastián se caracteriza por una llegada masiva de turistas de diversas comunidades autónomas, especialmente de Cataluña y Madrid. Los franceses también se acercan en gran número, especialmente muchos grupos de estudiantes a punto de comenzar sus vacaciones de primavera, así como familias y grupos de amigos.
Cada vez son también más los visitantes norteamericanos que aprovechan el "spring break" para hacer una escapada con la familia y descubrir nuestra gastronomía, desde los restaurantes con estrellas Michelin hasta los famosos pintxos de los que tanto han oido hablar en sus lugares de origen.
Sin duda el buen tiempo anima también a mucha gente del propio País Vasco o comunidades limítrofes como Navarra, Cantabria, La Rioja, lo que conocemos como excursionistas, a acercarse hasta aquí y pasar un buen día.
Este año la Semana Santa ha empezado con un tiempo excelente con cielos despejados y las playas casi como en verano!! Vamos a ver si continúa y todos los que nos visiten estos días puedan disfrutar no solo de las playas sino también de los estupendos paseos que tenemos en la ciudad. Incluso podrán darse una vuelta por la Bahía de la Concha en el catamarán que acaba de inaugurar la temporada. Eso sí, con toda seguridad dedicarán unas cuantas horas a recorrer la Parte Vieja y algunos barrios cercanos para deleitarse con lo mejor de la gastronomía local. Y si les apetece, estaremos encantadas de acompañarles a descubrir lo mejor de esta ciudad!
